Desert Rose was founded by CCWM missionary, Mary Patterson in 2007. Mary had a heart to reach girls that were living on the street.

The project was passed to CCWM missionary, Shari Tvrdik in 2011. The Desert Rose Shelter has been a groundbreaking project, the first of its kind in Mongolia. Its focus was on a smaller number of girls in order to break away from institutionalizing, and instead create a family atmosphere for the girls.

Today the Desert Rose Girls Shelter has been passed onto Mongolian leadership. Executive Director, Amaraa Tsolmon, serves the girls with tremendous leadership and love. Your donation to the Desert Rose Shelter will help to supply a home community to girls otherwise abandoned.
