“One of the greatest joys of my life has been and continues to be seeing how God manifests himself in different cultures and how different groups of people reflect different parts of his character.”

My Going Story
The closer I get to this trip, the more excited I am about all that God is doing in Bolivia. I have heard incredible stories of salvation, of the birth of home churches, and eagerness for the Gospel. God has drawn me near to Him in a new way in the last few months of my life and ministry, and just as He was beginning new seasons of pruning and molding, I was invited on this trip to Bolivia. Summer is a busy ministry time for me so I did not think that being gone would be practical for me, but the Holy Spirit continued to bring it to my mind. After praying and some time of discernment, doors started to open both in my ministry here and with friends in Bolivia. God lined up so many details, and during those weeks I had a dream that I was in Bolivia preaching the Gospel to children in a small village. That dream together with the encouragement of my family, my church, and the friends that invited me were confirmation that this is the next right step. With each new opportunity, I am ever thankful for all the ways God allows me to serve as I do the things I love: work with students, teach the Bible, and get to do it all in Spanish. This trip is exciting and nerve-wracking as I will be stepping out of my comfort zones in new ways, but I am comforted by the words of Isaiah 43:19, "Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." He is surely doing a new thing in me and what a joy to uncover it as I experience how He has literally made a way in the wilderness for His people.

“Some of the hardest to reach villages are in the country of Bolivia, settled along the tributaries of the Amazon River Basin. People wait there for medical supplies, doctors, nurses, and Gospel discipleship. They ask for teams to come, and we bring them.
